Louise Millin Inchley known as ‘Milli’ was born in Gloucestershire and currently lives in Cheltenham. Her work centres predominately on people in interior spaces, street scenes and sporting scenes.
After attending art colleges in Cheltenham and Exeter Louise worked as a draughtsman and interior designer for various architectural and interior practices at home and overseas. She has since studied under the tutelage of the internationally acclaimed artist Trevor Waugh.
Louise paints full time, taking inspiration from her local surroundings of Cheltenham as well as her travels. The social interaction found in public places, the pavements of Cheltenham, restaurants & bars, the sporting fields are favourite subjects. The focus of her work is on architectural settings and atmospheric interiors where the play between light and dark is key.
Louise paints mainly in oil which is her preferred medium. “I feel it suits the subject matter I love to paint - people going about their daily lives”…
